HWIOH: 1 Peter Project Update ~ Week 3 Verses

Hello everyone! We have now completed 2 weeks of this year's challenge!! How did your first week go of the "His Word in Our Hearts" bible memory challenge? :D

I pray you are enjoying your time so far! I know sometimes the start can be easy, or sometimes it can be a pretty rough beginning if you are busy - but that's okay. :) Keep working on it and praying and God will help you each day/week. I had a little trouble memorizing the verses this week too...but with God's help and hard dedication to the task He's put in front of us, we can do it! :D If you need some tips for making bible memory easier or need some encouragement to help you along, leave us a message at mohl-ladies@inbox.com, comment on any post, or join and comment on the yahoo group, and we'll get back to you and remember to keep you in our prayers each week! :)

"...and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts." ~ Jeremiah 15:16

Verses Hid in Our Hearts (from week 2)
"To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time." ~ 1 Peter 1:4-5

Lessons Learned
I've always loved this verse with words like, "fadeth not away" and "kept". :) It was a good reminder to me this last week that God's not *ever* going let me go and I'm secure in Him *forever*! :D

To Ponder
Remember, we are hiding God's word in our hearts. We're not doing this just to memorize a list of rules - each week as you practice your verses, think about what the words truly mean to you and the lessons God might be teaching you through them. :) Let the words sink into your mind and heart and take action! This coming week pick out some key words to ponder over! :D

The next set of verses we are to learn for week 8:
{January 15 - 21}

1 Peter1:6-7

Remember to continue to repeat the last weeks verses in your mind too, so you don't forget them! ;)

Have a blessed week everyone!
~Miss Rachel~

P.S. - please bear with us with these update posts...we're still working out how we'd like them formatted. ;) Sorry for any confusion we may be giving you!

I like how you did this update, Rachel, and yes, we're not just memorizing to memorize! :) I've pondered so much the verses I'm hiding in my heart, letting the words wash over me, and realizing, this is truth, this is light, this is real, this is what I am, what I will become, etc...beautiful reality. :)
